Pfister, George Alwin
George Alwin Pfister, 97, passed away March 2, 2012, at the Aase Haugen Home, Decorah. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, March 26, at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah, with the Rev. Nancy Solomonson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Locust Cemetery, rural Decorah, with full military honors. Friends may visit with the family two hours before service time.
Survivors include his children, Karoline of Waukegan, Ill., Philip (Jeanine) of Marion, Janet (Gerald) Hall of West Des Moines, Lynne (Dean) Lamp of Glidden; a sister, Luella Young of Decorah; a brother, Gordon (Barbara) of Hot Springs, Ark.; six grandchildren, Adam (Sarah) and Paul Pfister, Elizabeth and Katherine Hall, and Erik and Daniel Lamp; as well as many nieces and nephews.
