Keiper, Gregory Allen
Gregory Allen Keiper, 57, of Palo, died peacefully Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Private family services will be held at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids by the Rev. Dustin Vu. Inurnment: St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday at the funeral home from 3 to 7 p.m.
Gregory is survived by four children, Brock Keiper of Chicago and Tony Keiper, Angela Keiper and Michelle Keiper, all of Cedar Rapids; parents, Louis and Germaine Keiper of Palo; grandson, Blake Pritchard; seven siblings, Steve (Sherry) Keiper, Ann (Rick) Schulte, Becky (Andrew) Schulte, Jayme (Tami) Keiper, Jackie Keiper, Doug (Cheryl) Keiper and Terry (Becky) Keiper; and many nieces and nephews.
Gregory was born July 28, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Louis and Germaine (Stallman) Keiper. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1972 and has worked at Cargill for 20 years.
Gregory was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers fan. He was inducted into the Sixteen Inch Iowa State Softball Hall of Fame and the Cedar Rapids Softball Hall of Fame.
Gregory loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Blake.
