Oujiri, Elaine L.
Elaine L. Oujiri, 85, of Keystone Cedars, died there Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, following an extended illness. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, by the Rev. Ivan Nienhaus. Burial: St. Patrick Cemetery, Fairfax. A visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may also visit after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include her brother, Larry Schulte of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Jeanne (Bill) Gibney and Bernice (Dick) Zenisek of Fairfax; and nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; sister, Mary (Don) Foth; and sister-in-law, Eileen Schulte.
Elaine was born Oct. 29, 1924, in Fairfax, to Adam and Edith Becker Schulte. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, St. Bernadette Circle, and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. Elaine worked at Collins Radio as an executive secretary for 30 years. On Aug. 16, 1980, she married Alvin Oujiri. Elaine enjoyed music, playing her organ, golf, sewing, and dancing.
Elaine will be missed by her family and friends.
