Schulte, Raymond M.

Raymond M. Schulte, 58, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in Des Moines. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Craig Steimel as celebrant. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the parish center.

Ray was born Feb. 16, 1955, in Cedar Rapids to Ray and Barbara Schulte. On Oct. 10, 1992, he married Donna Traut. He worked at Midland Forge and was a truck driver.

Ray is survived by his wife; children, Kent (Jodi), Scott, Renee, Ashley, Brock and Derek; seven grandchildren; mother; siblings, John (Linda), Deb (Leland) Wink, Connie (Gary) Deal, Mark (Lori), Lisa (Tim) Kilpatrick and Pam (Todd) Beatty; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Melinda.

Ray enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and pool, watching sports and raising animals.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
