Kimberly Kay Schulte, 51, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, at her home in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, with a memorial service celebrating Kim's life beginning at 2 p.m.
at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her sister, Kelle Syndergaard (Matt Ellis); a niece, Gracie Syndergaard, all of Cedar Rapids; and many loving family members, dear friends and her special dog, Jack.
She was proceeded in death by her parents.
Kimberly Kay Schulte was born Jan. 14, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Eva Mae (Hofer) Kulish. Kim was currently employed at Personal Safety Corp. for the past 16 years. She was known for her passion for cooking and loved working the downtown market. Kim was sought out particularly for her popcorn. Friends and family were very important to Kim, and she would always give graciously to others. She never met a stranger and in her younger years was the life of the party. Kim was also an animal lover who was especially fond of her dog, Jack. Kim will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
A memorial fund has been established in Kim's name.
