Schulte, Wilma Lucille
Wilma Lucille Schulte, 90, passed away peacefully at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester, Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, surrounded by her family.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at St. John's Catholic Church, Delhi, conducted by the Rev. John Kremer. Family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville with a Scripture service at 3:15 p.m. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass on Wednesday. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Delhi.
Wilma was born Oct. 10, 1921, to Bernard and Florence (Bockenstedt) Wulfekule. She was united in marriage to John Henry Schulte on Nov. 22, 1943. They owned and operated their own Schulte Grocery Store for 30 years, retiring in 1977. They later enjoyed going to auctions, dealing in antiques and linens.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Colleen) Schulte of Delhi; three grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Reeves, Lori (Jeremy) Schulte-Trenkamp, and Mark (Laura) Schulte; seven great-grandchildren, Jenna and Trent Reeves, Shaylyn, Tate, Annie, Brock, and Cecily Trenkamp, and a Schulte on the way; three step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Wulfekuhle and Phyllis Schulte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 1993; two brothers, Linus and David Wulfekuhle; two siblings at birth; four brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.
