Schulte, Margaret 'Peggy' Elizabeth
Margaret “Peggy” Elizabeth Schulte, 81, of Cedar Rapids, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Faith Bible Church in Robins, located at 95 South Mentzer Rd. All friends and relatives are invited. Private family burial will take place in Linwood Cemetery. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is handling arrangements.
Peggy was born in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 14, 1931, the daughter of Lowell and Minnie (Copp) Davis. She married Kenneth J. Schulte in Cedar Rapids on April 16, 1953. Peggy retired from Rockwell-Collins after 35 years.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, stitching group, gardening, crossword puzzles and reading. She was a member of Faith Bible Church for over 35 years and the Embroidery Guild of America.
Peggy is survived by her children, Mary Schulte of Cedar Rapids, Joan (Steve) Higbee of Sarasota, Fla., John (Marion) Schulte of Cedar Rapids and Karen (Craig) Roalson of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Jacob Glasnovich, Ian Higbee, Michael Schulte, Sarah Schulte, Danielle D'Ambrosio, Kara D'Ambrosio, Jeffrey Roalson and Daniel Roalson,; a great-grandchild, Raegan Higbee; a brother, Robert G. Davis of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a sister, Dorothy Wharton of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth J. Schulte; a son, Paul Schulte; and her brothers, Elmer Davis and Kenneth Davis.
