Beverly A. Holtz, 83, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at West Ridge Care Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of service, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Burial: Campbell Cemetery, Bertram.
Beverly is survived by her children, Deb (Mike) Studt of Cedar Rapids, Glori (Joe) Roman of Cedar Rapids, Paul (Jenifer) Holtz of Solon and Darcy (Bill) White of Shellsburg; grandchildren, Shelly, Ami, Brian, Shawn, Chace, Nicole, Kara, Abby, B.J. and Jari; and great-grandchildren, Sadie, Tayva, Payson, Wesley, Zoe, Michael, Layne, Scarlet, James, Lucy, Cael, Gavin, Vivienne, William, Lincoln, Jovie, Jack, Josh and Luke.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard; and 15 siblings.
Beverly was born May 3, 1933, in Barlow, N.D., the daughter of Joseph and Ethel (Keller) Edinger. She graduated from New Rockford (N.D.) High School in 1951. On Oct. 30, 1953, she married Willard Holtz at First Congregational Church in New Rockford. Willard passed away on Aug. 24, 2015.
Beverly was a longtime member of First Congregational Church and most recently, Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was an avid bingo player, waiting to yell "BINGO" for a big win. Beverly especially enjoyed watching wildlife from her sunroom. She also enjoyed creating cards, which are cherished keepsakes by those who received them.
