Burns, Clark
Celebration of Life services for Clark Burns, 84, who died Sunday, July 24, 2011, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with a VFW service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Iowa City at 2 p.m. Wednesday. A general memorial fund has been established. Messages and tributes may be left at under obituaries.
Clark is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Oxford, Iowa; six children, Sue (Dale) Gosnell of Conroy, Iowa, Robert (Sue) Burns of Jacksonville, Fla., Connie (John) Pegump of Walford, Iowa, Kevin (Teresa) Schumacher of Jefferson City, Mo., Jeff Schumacher of High Amana, Iowa, and Mark (Shelly) Schumacher of Amana, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Shirley) Burns and Kenneth Burns, all of Maquoketa, Iowa; and a sister, Beverly (Milan) Ashbrenner of Monet, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
