Bethine K. Beebe, 76, of Marion, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at her home in Marion. Her family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Per Bethine's wishes, there will be no formal service.
Survivors include her children, Shelly (Terry) Bridges of Lubbock, Texas, Ronn Beebe of Fairfax and Paul Beebe of northern California; two sisters, Virginia Hopkins of Marion and Mary Ruth Culbert of Sedona, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Katie, Charlie, Samantha, Joseph and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
Bethine was born Oct. 31, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Alden and Katherine (Amlund) Culbert. She graduated from Marion High School in 1957, and retired from Rockwell Collins after many years.
Bethine was a sweet and gentle woman who will be remembered fondly by family and friends for her kindness and considerate nature.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy in Bethine's memory.
