Bruce, Debra Lynn
Debra Lynn Bruce, 54, of North Liberty, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, at New Beginnings Church, Hiawatha, where friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Pastor Chris Richards will officiate, with inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Amber (Jeremy) Von Thun, Shawn (Kelly) Bruce, Danny (Kristin) Noehl, Steven (Brandy) Noehl, Andy (Brittany) Noehl and Matthew Noehl; seven grandchildren, Tycho and Bryleigh Von Thun, Trevor, Jessica, Gavin, Cayden and Hannah Noehl; parents, Terry and Doris Bilsland; brother, Ron (Shelly) Bilsland; sisters, Vicky (Chuck) Lange, Kay (Bobby) Clinton and Pam Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews.
Debra was born May 25, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Terry and Doris (Abernathy) Bilsland. Debra graduated from Washington High School in 1976. She was a retired child care provider and a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend to many.
She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
