Clayton, Valerie
Valerie Clayton, 55, died Monday, May 31, 2010, at her home in Des Moines. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home in Des Moines, concluding with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
Valerie was born in St. John, Quebec, and had lived in Colfax, Exira and Cedar Rapids before moving to Des Moines. She was a loan servicing specialist with Wells Fargo Bank.
Survivors include her friend, Paul Flohrs of Des Moines; parents, Neville and Marlene Clayton of Osceola; siblings, Tony Clayton and Shelly (Clayton) Stokley, both of Indianapolis, and Faith Belts of Fort Dodge; sister-in-law, Rachel Clayton of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Society for Melanoma Research.
