Evilsizer, Mary Sara (Sufficool)
Mary Sara (Sufficool) Evilsizer, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at home on Sept. 10, 2010. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Fontana Cemetery, Hazleton, by the Rev. Charis Combs-Lay.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank E. Evilsizer; sons, Gary E. Miner and Martin (Michiko) Evilsizer; daughters, Denise (Robert) Van Horn and Mary (Herb) Hazewinkel; grandchildren, Shelley (James) Coffelt, Daniel (Doreen) Miner, Colin (Patty) Miner, Diane (Joe) Edwards, Rob Hazewinkel, Amanda (Guillermo) Becerra and Michael Van Horn; brothers, James and Robert Sufficool; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Allan Miner; and brother, Glenn Arthur Jr.
Mary was born May 18, 1920, in Pasadena, Calif., the daughter of Glenn Arthur and Sarah Minerva (Parkins) Sufficool. Modeling for Armstrong's Department Store as a young woman and working as head of accounting for Heartland Express until her retirement were two of her most memorable jobs.
Mary was a very caring and loving mother, who was happiest when surrounded by her family.
