Arlene R. Geesaman, 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, July 6, 2018, at Living Center West, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018,
at Sharon United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids.
Burial at Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha, Iowa.
Arlene was born May 2, 1929, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Earl and Lucinda (Corn) Musser. On May 17, 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Geesaman. She worked for many years in food catering for Bixby Catering. Arlene enjoyed reading and traveling. Her greatest love was her family.
Arlene is survived by her children, Dennis (Celia) Geesaman of Manchester, Roger (Peggy) Geesaman of Marion, Gloria (Michael) Wilford of Clinton, Ill., Karen (David) Farland of Cedar Rapids and Irene (Terry) Wright of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Stella "Tillie" Albertson of Cedar Rapids; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; twin sister, Darlene Burrell; and brother, Hiram "Ed" Musser.
