Section of First Avenue, Ellis Trail closing today
CEDAR RAPIDS - Effective today, the intersection of First Avenue East and 32nd Street SE will be closed as part of a project taking place along First Avenue between 31st and 34th streets.
Work is expected to take two weeks to complete. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
Also today, Ellis Trail will be temporarily closed for approximately one week, at a section directly across from Ellis Pool.
Suggested detour for trail users in that section is on-street using Ellis Boulevard NW.
