Sheriff: Woman robbed at gunpoint in her Prairieburg home

PRAIRIEBURG - The Linn County Sheriff's Office is looking for more information about a home invasion and armed robbery that was reported in Prairieburg last Saturday.
According to a media release from the sheriff's office, at 9:40 a.m. Saturday officers received the report of a home invasion and robbery that had taken place at 200 W. Main Street in Prairieburg.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers interviewed the woman who had reported the robbery.
Police say she told them that an unknown male had brandished a weapon and forced his way into her home, demanding money with her at gunpoint. According to the release, the man then fled from the home with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man has been described as being white, male, roughly five foot, six inches in height, and was described as wearing a light neon green t-shirt., hat, and sunglasses at the time of the robbery. According to the release, the man may also have been driving a white-colored 4-door sedan.
This case remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
