RICK HOFMASTER
Gold River, Calif.
Rick Hofmaster, 67, of Gold River, Calif., died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at his home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his spouse, Pat Hofmaster; sister, Janice McCrabb; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Velma Hofmaster; and sisters, Eileen Grinder and Sandra Becicka.
Rick was raised on a farm near Swisher, Iowa, and attended Prairie High School. He received his B.A. from Iowa State University and his M.A. from the University of Northern Iowa. Rick had a career in 4-H with Iowa State University Extension Service.
Rick lived his later years in Sacramento, Calif., and enjoyed summers at the Wisconsin cabin. He was a gift to all who entered his life.
