Connie Lang, 70, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Celebration of Life: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, in Sedlacek Hall at Cottage Grove Place, 2115 First Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids.
Connie was born in Lancaster, Mo., on April 13, 1947, the daughter of Theodore and Florence (Blu) Bragg. She graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids and was a quality control inspector at Rockwell Collins, retiring after over 30 years of service. Connie married Robert Martin Lang on July 21, 1979, in Cedar Rapids.
She truly loved the outdoors. Connie found peace while birdwatching, and especially enjoyed the beauty of the cardinal.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her time spent with her grandchildren was precious, but so was the calm once she dropped them back off with their parents.
Connie is survived by her husband, Robert; stepdaughter, Roxanne (Clark) Anderson-Weber; son, James (Jill) Emig; daughter, Tina Emig; and son, Chris Lang, all of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Leon (Barbara) Bragg of California; and brother, Richard (Karen) Bragg of Springville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her stepson, Bobby Lang; parents; brother, Purley Bragg; and sister, Irene Lenichek.
