String of car burglaries reported in Marion

Marion Police received several calls of car burglaries Wednesday morning.
According to a Marion Police media release, at around 6 a.m. the police department received multiple calls of burglaries that had happened between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
The affected areas were primarily on Isham Drive, Larick Court and McGowan Boulevard, according to the release. The car break-ins involved sometimes involved force, while others did not, according to the release. In addition, a detached garage suffered some minor damage, and there was some damage to another vehicle, according to the release.
Police say some of the following items were taken during the burglaries: coins, cash, debit cards, electronics, a back pack and a GPS unit. The investigation into the incident continues, but police say anyone with information about the thefts should call them at 319-377-1511.
