Flying over dirty water in Iowa

Todd Dorman's comment on bright-red Iowa making us another 'fly over” state appears valid ('Iowa is red, young professionals and college grads are blue,” Nov. 5). I believe he is right. He compared our future here as a prelude to becoming the new Nebraska. I spent 35 years in Nebraska and 40 in Iowa. I will take Iowa.
Omahans stay in the city as the rest of the state is sparse. Politically, it is the Mississippi of the Midwest. Those tax cuts will go to the rich. Perhaps, most of us here can enjoy the corridor and head to the northeast of the state. However, dirty water is something that is everywhere. You can sit by it, but not drink, swim or fish.
