Thomas J. Short, 66, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Mercy Hospital, Dubuque, after a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Winthrop. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Winthrop. Visitation: 4 to 7:30 p.m. today and until 10 a.m. Friday at Fawcett Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Winthrop, where a Scripture service begins at 7:30 tonight.
Surviving family includes his two daughters, Cari (Craig) Wright of Jesup and Amy Roling of Manchester; his two sons, Michael of Manchester and Mark of Ryan; Judy Short (Kehri) of Ryan; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Don of Winthrop; and two sisters, Beverly Smith of The Village, Fla., and Ann Speckman of Farmington, Minn.
