Dottie Short (Spears), born May 18, 1925, in Hillsboro, Wis., went to be with the Lord Monday, Aug. 4, 2014.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle Spears; and nine siblings.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Bruce) Block, Chet Alan Short and Betty (Burney) Smith; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Dottie worked for over 25 years as the manager of Stickney's Scoreboard in Marion. She worked many years at Rockwell International as an expediter. Dottie's later years (18) were spent in Grand Rapids, Mich.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Georgetown Bible Church 4114 Baldwin, Hudsonville, Mich., with Pastor Garry Koon officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour before services.
