Joseph "Joe" Brent Andresen, 41, of Oswego, Ill., formerly of Springville, died Wednesday, Sept. 24,
2014. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. A Celebration of Life will be held at American Legion Post 298 in Marion from 1 until 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1.
Survivors include his wife, Tara; son, Evan; parents, Richard and Diana Andresen of Central City; sister-in-law, Teresa Cain of North Liberty; and father-in-law, Terry Cain of Tipton.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Diane Cain; and grandparents, Lester and Luella Andresen and Kenneth and Maxine Malam.
Joe (known by his friends as "Joe Boo") was born Dec. 2, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Richard and Diana (Malam) Andresen. He graduated from Springville High School and attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.
Joe worked as a regional logistics manager for Schenker Logistics. He was a member of the Iowa Tailgating Association.
Joe was loved by many friends and family members and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial fund has been established in Joe's memory.
