Carol Joie Beebe, 58, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Clover Ridge United Methodist Church, Walford, with the Rev. Mike Townsley officiating. Burial will be in Koszta Cemetery, rural Marengo. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Clover Ridge United Methodist Church, Walford. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Carol Joie Beebe was born Dec. 24, 1956, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, the daughter of Gordon and Anna Smoley Beebe. She graduated from Benton Community High School in 1975. She had been employed with Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids. Carol had many hobbies.
She was a loving person who loved her family dearly.
Carol is survived by her son, James Behnke (Alysia Gilbert) of Marion; two daughters, Jennifer Tucker (Carldray) of Marion and Stephanie Land (Craig) of Cedar Rapids; nine grand-children; her siblings, Stuart Beebe (Linda) of Kansas City, Mo., Marcus Beebe (Lynn) of Cedar Rapids and Leita Privett (James) of Bells, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Samantha Behnke of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rosella Pettit; and a brother-in-law, Ivan Pettit.
