Grace P. Herbert, 90, passed away May 14, 2014, at Living Center West. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Diane Townsley.Burial: St. John Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at
the funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Grace is survived by three daughters, Rena (Andy) Nevada of Solon, Patricia (Christian) Rhodes of Cedar Rapids and Sarah (Dave) Hartwig of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Marlene Drake, Marck Dudrey, Erik Dudrey, Brian Dudrey, Travis Hartwig and Coady Hartwig; and seven great-granddaughters.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert W. Herbert; her parents and four brothers.
Grace Patricia was born March 17, 1924, in Colby, Wis., the daughter of Arthur and Rena (Carpenter) Schott. Grace loved the outdoors, mushroom hunting, gardening, animals, babies and most of all, dancing. Witty and fun to be around, Grace made many friends in her lifetime, lighting up a room just by walking in.
Loving, generous and caring, she gave selflessly from her heart. Going out of her way making people happy and helping them in every way she could, she will be greatly missed.
