A Cedar Rapids man is accused of burglarizing a University of Iowa fraternity house.
According to an Iowa City police criminal complaint, 34-year-old Jason T. Jenney entered the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity house at 302 Ridgeland Ave. at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday. Police said Jenney made entry into the house through an unlocked backdoor.
Jenney was spotted inside by one of the residents, police said. He was carrying a pile of clothing and chargers that did not belong to him. Police said one of the residents confronted Jenney and he fled the fraternity house. He was caught two blocks away.
Police said Jenney told officers he was looking for someone named Jeff at the residence. He was arrested and faces one count of second-degree burglary, a class C felony.
