Ann Frances Diesburg-Sauer, 56, of Shellsburg, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, March 20, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Ann is survived by her children, Nicole (Ron) Cihla of Cedar Rapids and Jesse Sauer of Shellsburg; twin granddaughters, Lauren and Kayleah, who were the apple of their grandmother's eye; mother, Eloyse Diesburg; siblings, Karen (Bruce) Gaines, Kathy (Steve) LeClere, John Diesburg, Tim (Tammy) Diesburg and Marty (Cheri) Diesburg; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Diesburg; and grandparents, John and Loretta Diesburg and Ben and Frances Lammers.
Ann was born Aug. 5, 1959, the daughter of Jerry and Eloyse Lammers-Diesburg. She was a 1977 graduate of North Linn High School in Troy Mills. On Feb. 8, 1980, Ann married John Sauer. While growing up, Ann had horses to ride. She was an animal lover, especially her dogs and cats. Ann was a lifelong diehard Cubs fan and was a great cook and baker. She loved the time she spent with her granddaughters. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
A memorial fund has been established in Ann's memory.
