Joyce Ann was born Sept. 5, 1932, to Luther Jacob "Jake" and Marjorie Mae (Stout) Bohr at her grandparents' home in Cedar County. She attended school at Coon Creek and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1949. Joyce worked at Eddie Paper Co. in Cedar Rapids and later at Lloyd Table Co. in Lisbon. She married Robert "Bob" Englert on Oct. 14, 1954, at St. John's Catholic Church, Lisbon. They raised three children, following all of their activities throughout their school years. After retirement, Joyce and Bob took many vacations via bus, seeing many interesting areas in the United States. Joyce liked going to the casino, Bob called himself the "banker" so she wouldn't lose the "family farm." She loved her beautiful diamonds, leather coats, completing crossword puzzles and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Marjorie; stepfather, Henry Hunwardsen; husband of 57 years, Bob; brother, Richard; and son, Michael.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be given to the Lisbon/Mount Vernon Ambulance Fund.
