L. Boneata (Bell) Kautz passed away Feb. 8, 2017.
She was born March 22, 1920, to Eddie A. and Barbara (Lang) Bell. She married James A. Kautz Sr. on Jan. 23, 1941. He passed away in June 1971 after 39 years of marriage.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Carolyn J. Kautz (Gary) Jepsen; daughter-in-law, Barbara (Gade) Kautz; grandson, Anthony (Toni) Kautz; granddaughters, Pamela Kautz (Rick) Kolosick, Sherri Jepsen (Tom) Mehus and Cindy Jepsen (Tom Blair); great-granddaughters, Carissa Mehus (Jason) Orcutt and Courtney Mehus (Grant Rosenboom); great-great-granddaughter, Aubree Lynn Orcutt; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Hiawatha. She worked at Mercy Medical Center for 12 1/2 years and volunteered another 12 1/2 years. She was a life member of Ladies Auxiliary Post 788 VFW and the AMVETS Auxiliary. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1937.
A visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 11, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, James Kautz Jr., two sisters and three brothers.
