Rogers, Lula J.
Lula J. Rogers, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died July 15, 2012, at Living Center East, following a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, July 27, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. David Phelps will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, also at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will take place at Shiloh Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Arthur, Bennie, Willie D., Eddie D., Mary Walker and Betty Harris, all of Cedar Rapids; 30 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawyer; daughter, Linda; stepson, Lawyer L; and great-grandson, Charles Joe Jr.
Lula Jane Rogers was born April 22, 1923, in Blue Mountain, Miss. She married Lawyer Rogers in 1956.
