Denise A. (McAtee) Knudtson, 58, of Palo died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at the Palo Methodist Church from 1 to 3 p.m.
Denise was born June 8, 1960, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Donna McAtee. Denise enjoyed spending time with her family, dogs and horses, and spending time at the river.
Denise is survived by her three sons, Jeremy McAtee and David and Timothy Nelson, all of Palo; a daughter, Ashley (Matt) Dunn of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Doug McAtee of Toledo; a sister, Diana McAtee of Van Horne; six granddaughters, Alexis, Allyson, Autumn, Adeline, Karlee and Kaya; many special nieces and nephews; and very special friend of many years, Dawn Price.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene, two brothers, Dale and David McAtee, two brothers-in-law, Clifford and Wayne Knudtson; and her best friend, Kirk Price.
