Paula Ann Main, 69, of North Liberty, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following complications suffered in a vehicle/pedestrian accident. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Silver Creek United Methodist Church in Delaware County. Burial: Coggon Cemetery, Coggon.
Survivors include her sister, Ruth Main (Dean) Soenksen of Cedar Rapids; niece, Anna Soenksen; and nephew, Tyler Soenksen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece, Amanda Soenksen.
Paula was born Dec. 22, 1946, to Paul and Elsie (Evers) Main in Manchester, Iowa. She was a 1965 graduate of Coggon High School. After graduating, Paula attended Paris Academy Beauty School and worked most recently as a hairdresser with the former Windmill Point Assisted Living of Coralville. She also was employed as a crossing guard for the city of North Liberty.
Paula was a longtime member of Silver Creek United Methodist Church. She was a loyal Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
