Judy Ann (Inger) Baty, 64, of Coggon, died peace-fully Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, following a long battle with cancer. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at United Parish Church, Coggon, by Pastor Tony Thurston. The family will greet guests from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. Burial: Coggon Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Neal; son, Matthew (Denise) Baty of Hiawatha; grandson, Nati Baty; mother, Ruth Inger; and siblings, Bonnie (Patrick) Canfield of Cedar Rapids, Roger Inger of Robins and Susan Kainz of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Inger; infant daughter, Angela; and brother, Steven Inger.

Judy was born July 28, 1950, in Postville, Iowa, the daughter of Aaron and Ruth (Hawkins) Inger. She graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1968. Judy married Neal W. Baty on June 23, 1973. She was a clerk with Lefty's Convenience Store in Alburnett for 16 years.

Judy was a member of the United Parish Church in Coggon and of the Mary, Martha and More Church Ladies Group. She enjoyed cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and growing flowers.

Judy dearly loved her grandson, Nati.
