Cayler, Ruth A.
Ruth A. Cayler, 86, of 1050 24th St., Marion, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at Crestview Acres Nursing Home after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Mary Beth Siemann, chaplain of Iowa Hospice will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Tim Cayler of Marion; her brother, Jim (Gloria) Nielson of Marion; her sister, Shirley White of Cedar Rapids; her daughter-in-law, Ruby (Henderson) Cayler of Littleton, Colo.; her sisters-in-law, Janet (Gayle) Boyer and Joan (Don) Bahm; her brother-in-law, Jim (Ann) Cayler; her beloved grandchildren, Lori, Traci, Marijayne, Josephine, Andrea, Josh and Jessica; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard E. Cayler; two sons, Richard L. and Gaylen Cayler; a brother, Bob; and sisters, Esther and Betty.
Ruth was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Marion. She was united in marriage to Richard E. Cayler on July 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2002.
Memorial donations in Ruth's honor may be made to Iowa Hospice.
