Mouchka, Zona L.
Zona L. Mouchka, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Saturday, April 23, 2011, in her sleep at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, with burial to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Zona was born Aug. 18, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Juliet (Riley) Ziegler. She graduated from St. Patrick's School in 1955 and worked for the telephone company for 30 years before retiring. She married John Mouchka in 1978.
John and Zona owned a Harley which they spent many hours riding. They also spent time fishing and being with their family.
Zona is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Chris (Pete) Wright, Stacey Lynn Hutton, Jonnie Lee (Tim) Quigley, Jerrie (Phillip) Pierce and Toni (Ty) White; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Zona was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Pat and Rosemary (Mickey).
Memorials may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the people who worked for hospice and friends and neighbors.
