Lois Margaret Pavek, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, in her home, surrounded
by her loving family. Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wed-nesday, Sept. 17, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Brosh Chapel.
Lois was born March 31, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Louis and Lois (Poland) Woods. Lois was united in marriage to Charles Pavek on May 18, 1963, in Cedar Rapids. Lois loved her dogs, Pal and Buddy; and cat, Loki. She enjoyed gardening, visiting with many friends and neighbors, as well as taking care and spending time with her family.
Lois is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Chuck; her son, Chuck Allan of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Judy (Bill) Phillips of Mesa, Ariz., Phyllis (Greg) Raymond of Mustang, Okla., and Zandra (Bill) White of Greenwood, Ind.; sister-in-law, Jackie Woods of Newton; as well as many nieces and nephews
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Terry Woods and Tim Woods.
Memorials may be directed to Unity Point Hospice in her name.
