James Allen Morrow, 74, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at the Vinton Lutheran Home. Services will be 11
a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at First Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dean Duncan pre-siding. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hrabak Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment, with military rites, will be in St. John's Cemetery, rural Newhall, at a later date.
Jim is survived by his children, Allen (Kimberly) Morrow of Clinton, Douglas Morrow of Minier, Ill., Kristine (Marcus) Pope of Belle Plaine and Teresa (Randy) Kannegieter of Iowa Falls; siblings, Donald (Linda) Morrow of Belle Plaine, William (Lucy) Morrow of Des Moines and Janet Johnson of Thompson, Ill.; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Georgia Morrow; wife, Virginia, in 2012; son, David; brother, Michael; and sister, Dorothy.
Memorials may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids or First Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.
