Martha L. Dever Christensen passed away Sept. 27, 2017, at The Bird House.
She was born Feb. 13, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to parents Frederick Joseph Dever and Delma Dale Anderson Dever. Grandparents were Irene B. Anderson Dever and Maurice T. Dever and Jessie A. White Anderson and Dale F. Anderson.
Martha graduated from University High School and Kirkwood Community College. She worked at Northwestern Bell and Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Martha is survived by two daughters, Deborah L Mossman Walton and husband, D. Kyle Walton and Kelli S. Christensen Hansen and husband, Timothy L. Hansen. Grandchildren are Francesca I. and Alexandra G. Walton and T.J. and Olivia R. Hansen. Also surviving are sisters, Dorothy E. (Dick) Moran of Pueblo, Colo., and Sara D. (Joe) Replogle of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, Don F. (Linda) Dever of Pueblo; and many nieces and nephews.
Family committal services will be held at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Friends of the Animal Center Foundation or to The Bird House.
