Letter: Caucus isn’t an option for all

Why is it that when we have two or more people of the same party seeking the same political office, we have a primary election that allows everyone to participate?
The one exception is when the office is for the presidency of our country, then we have a caucus that doesn't allow everyone the opportunity to participate, unless a second-shift worker takes time off from work. Some people with disabilities can't stay the entire amount of time a caucus takes so they are out, too.
I think it's time we take a good look at our caucus and system and move into the 21st century.
