Michael Eugene Bell, 63, of Center Point, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center,
Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at The Avacentre at Brosh Chapel, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.
Michael was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ralph and Joan (White) Bell. Michael graduated from Washington High School and later received a degree from Kirkwood Community College. Michael was united in marriage to Kathy Turkington on April 8, 1972, at the United
Methodist Church in
Cedar Rapids.
He was a truck driver and was employed for many years in the construction industry, working for Aggregates Inc.
Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing his guitar with friends and spending time with his family.
Michael is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children, Todd (Kasey) Bell of Cedar Rapids, Chris (Brandi) Bell of Urbana and Edward (Angie) Bell of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Kasya, Brittany and Caleb; his parents, Ralph and Joan Bell of Mechanicsville; twin sister, Pat (Gary) Trout of Mechanicsville; sister, Sherry Bell of Cedar Rapids; and brother, Tim Bell of Mechanicsville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and three uncles.
