Stratton, Wayne F.
Wayne F. Stratton, 78, of Tiffin, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Windmill Manor Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, Tiffin, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lensing Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd., Coralville, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial donations can be made in Wayne's memory to Iowa City Hospice or Iowa Special Olympics.
Wayne was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Johnson County, Iowa, the son of Fred and Anna (Wagner) Stratton. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1948. He married Janis Parizek on May 24, 1952, in Elizabethtown, Ky.
His family includes his wife, Jan; children, Steve (June) Stratton of Ely, Mark (Marianne) of Coralville, Susan (Perry) Falvo of Plano, Texas, Gerrie (Tom) Lueck of Cedar Rapids, and Malissa (Steve) Drahos of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Stephanie (Greg) Hardin of Cedar Rapids, Luke Stratton of Cedar Rapids, Jake Stratton of Ely, Katherine Stratton of Coralville, Grant Falvo of Plano, Texas, Audrey Lueck of Cedar Rapids, and Spencer Stratton-Drahos of Mount Vernon; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Stratton of Ely, John Saldivar of Cedar Rapids, and Caleb Hardin of Anamosa.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy.
