Benjamin Michael Sufficool, 40, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Jan. 5, 2017, after a short battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will take place following the funeral at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ben was born on June 3, 1976, in Cedar Rapids, to Glenn and Julie Sufficool. Ben had a kind and gentle spirit, greatly enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing, boating, wakeboarding and snowboarding with his close friends. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and lover of animals. Most of all, Ben loved to spend time with his daughter, Lexy. Spending time with her was the most important thing in his life.
Ben is survived by his wonderful daughter, Lexy; his mother, Julie Lawrence, and stepfather, Lynn Lawrence; sisters, Sarah (Jamey) Hathaway and Jane Althoff; step-sister, Brooke Lawrence; maternal grandmother, Bea Hixenbaugh; and nieces and nephews, Nichole, Caleb, Tatum, Tucker, Nash and Bradyn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn; paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
