Micaela Everly Townsend, infant daughter of Derek and Amy Townsend of Chelsea, was born and became God's new angel on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Private graveside services will be Saturday, July 9, at Rector Cemetery, rural Chelsea, with Pastor Brian Chitwood officiating.
Survivors include her parents, Derek and Amy (Ledvina) Townsend of Chelsea; her sister, Haven, at home; her grandparents, Michael and Connie Ledvina of Toledo and Terry and Doreen Townsend of Bondurant; her great-grandparents, Marilyn Ledvina of Elberon, Beverly Squiers of Chelsea, Clarence and Shirley Townsend of Indianapolis and Aubree Everly of Bondurant; uncles and aunts, Adam Ledvina of Coralville, Leanne (Louis) Vander Streek of Ankeny, Kurt Townsend (Kelly Ryan) of Ames and Caleb Townsend of Bondurant; and two cousins, Ava and Junia Vander Streek.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Melvin Ledvina, Keith Squiers and Dorothy Everly.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
