Graham, Mary Ann
Mary Ann Graham, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital from natural causes following a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, by the Rev. Mike Graham SJ. Burial: St. John Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit with the family from 4 until 7:30 p.m. Friends may also visit Wednesday at the church after 9 a.m.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Don; children, Michael of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jeff of Marion, Steve (Ali) Graham, Laurie (Marty) Valentine and David (Diane) Graham, all of Cedar Rapids, Tammara (Stephen) Michalec of Middle Amana and Philip (Regina) Graham of Hiawatha; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Korte of Davenport and Susan (Fred) Clarke of Lakewood, Colo.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Jim and John Mochal.
Mary Ann was born March 6, 1930, in Tama, the daughter of Louis and Alice (Dupre) Mochal. She married Don Graham on Aug. 25, 1951, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Mary Ann worked for Iowa Adjustment and Credit Bureau for 20 years where they nicknamed her “Fox.”
Mary Ann thoroughly enjoyed her Cubs and Hawkeyes. She loved her family and liked spending her time walking, gardening, quilting, making ceramics, and singing. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Mary Ann's family would like to give a special thanks to Audra, who was Mary Ann's nurse and cherished friend.
