Joan Mangold Grissom, of Roy, Utah, peacefully passed away April 25, 2014, with her family by her side.
She was born Dec. 23, 1936, to Raymond and Blanche McEnay Mangold in Ryan, Iowa. She married Walter M. Grissom Jr. on May 27, 1961, in Ryan.
Joan is survived by her husband, Walter of Roy; her four children, Walter (Gina) Grissom on Washington, D.C., Glen (Shawna) Grissom and children Madison and Coplin of Roy, Utah, Michelle Grissom of Elk Grove, Calif., and Roxanne (Darren) Keenan and children Melody and Luke of Elk Grove, Calif.; and sisters, Patricia Duggan and Maxine (Wayne) Stein, and brother, Frank (Betty) Mangold, all of Cedar Rapids.
Preceding Joan in death were her parents; Mangold brothers and wives, John (Mary), Jim (Vanita), Clair (Kathy) and Leon (Audrey); and brother-in-law, Raymond Duggan.
Joan was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Haven, Utah.
A memorial Mass was held April 29 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to send donations to your favorite charity in Joan's name.
