Dorothy K. Fisher, 91, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Zion United Church of Christ in Lowden, by the Rev. Steve Stepp. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Burial will be in Van Horn Cemetery, Lowden.
Dorothy was born to George and Meta Thiring Boettcher on March 31, 1925, in Bennett, Iowa. She married Howard Fisher on Aug. 7, 1949, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He passed away Feb. 26, 2010.
Dorothy is survived by nieces and nephews, David Fisher of Hiawatha, Ardella (Sydney) Boots of California, LaDonna Finch of Davenport, Robert (Julie) Fisher of Lowden, Denise (Greg) Pingel of Ely, Gwen Johnson of Amarillo, Texas, Wesley Miller of Clarence, Michael (Pam) Fisher of Atlanta, Ga., Jim (Mary) Fisher of LaJolla, Calif., Troy Boettcher of Davenport and Tracy (Mark) Sirna of Davenport. Also surviving are many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Gene Boettcher.
Dorothy was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, and she loved to travel.
