Baker, Carol L.
Carol L. Baker, 70, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with David Fry as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Carol was born Sept. 16, 1942, in Iowa City, and was the daughter of Ernest and Dorothy Elisabeth Boots Dahl. She attended Stanwood Schools and on July 13, 1956, she was united in marriage to Earl Harry Baker in Kahoka, Mo. Carol was a homemaker and was employed as a teacher at the Sycamore Learning Center in Tipton from 2001 to 2009.
Carol is survived by her children, Mary (Gary) Beaumont of Coralville, Gregory Baker of Clarence and Melissa (Scott) Smith of Tipton; grandchildren, Trisha, Brandi, Mea, Mileena and Earl; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Julian, Sophia and Isaiah; sister, Janice Townsend, and sister-in-law, Linda Dahl, both of Cedar Rapids; and brother, Richard Dahl of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; daughter, Diania; brothers, Kenneth, Lyle and David; and her sister, Dorothy Williams.
