Robin Susan Smith, 48, of Baxter, Tenn., died Monday, June 2, 2014, at her home. Celebration of life
will be from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 16, at the Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny Smith; children, Matthew Smith of Hiawatha and Jennifer Smith of Shellsburg; father, Herbert Rothberg; siblings, Davidine Johnson of Arizona, Wendy Rothberg of Iowa and Anita Johnson of Minnesota; seven nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Van Ourney; and both sets of grandparents.
Robin was born Aug. 25, 1965, in Union, N.J., daughter of Herbert and Stella (Boots) Rothberg. She graduated from College Community School District in 1983, then went to Denison Job Corps and received her CNA. Robin was treasurer of the Highland Regional Council.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there for her children.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Highland Regional Council and neighbors.
A memorial fund has been established.
