Grimm, Doris L.
Doris L. Grimm, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Troy Mills Christian Church. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandy (Terry) Rawson of Palo and Sheryl (Verle) Reid of Cedar Rapids; a son, Chuck (Deb) of Coggon; a sister, Bootie (Ken) Davis of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzy; six brothers and four sisters.
Doris was born May 3, 1924, in Hopkinton, the daughter of William and Ethel (Boots) Milroy. She was a cook at Bishops Buffet for over 24 years, retiring from there in 1986.
