Robert Wesley Baxa, 79, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014. He was at home in Mount Vernon under hospice care.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice; daughter, Robin; son, Adam; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Henrietta; brother, Richard; and sister, Marie Boots.
Robert was born in Lisbon, Iowa, and served two years in the Army. He married Eunice in 1959 and had two children.
Robert retired from Goss in 1989, and farmed most of his life. He was well known for his massive garden and generosity with the resulting produce.
Robert requested no services and will be cremated.
